About me

Who I am

My journey into counselling began in 2018, motivated by a desire to help individuals cope with mental health challenges. Already working as a support worker for children and adults with special needs, I cultivated an acceptance of personal uniqueness and learned to adapt to each individual’s needs. This experience laid the foundation for my transition into counselling. I trained as a Person-Centred counsellor, valuing individual capabilities. This approach fosters a nurturing environment through empathy and acceptance.

I gained experience volunteering at Samaritans helpline, aiding emotionally distressed individuals. Additionally, I worked with young people at The Manchester College and provided support within the community through Face to Face Counselling charity, offering both face-to-face and remote counselling services. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their ethical framework and support clients struggling with mental health issues in a non-judgemental way, promoting personal growth and empowerment.

I am dedicated to self-growth and assisting individuals with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, identity struggles, and trauma. Providing a safe space is crucial for processing challenging emotions. My primary focus now is working as a remote counsellor since October 2022 through online video sessions. Continuously enhancing my skills and knowledge to evolve into a pluralistic therapist rooted in Person-Centred principles. In my sessions, acceptance is fundamental; I offer perspectives while maintaining a non-directive approach that empowers you to choose your direction of growth.
